Terms of Service

Discoverr is a location-based exploration and social discovery platform for London. The app allows you to discover real-world locations, complete collections, earn XP and badges, track district progress, connect with friends, and share your progress and check-ins. By using Discoverr, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your details up to date. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Discoverr is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You must use the app in accordance with applicable laws and treat the places you visit with respect.

Discoverr uses your device location to show nearby places, display maps, and verify check-ins when you visit a location in person. Check-ins may use GPS proximity or photo verification. Location signals and device hardware are not always perfectly accurate. Discoverr is not responsible for failed or incorrect check-ins caused by GPS limitations, signal interference, device settings, or user error.

You retain ownership of photos and other content you upload to Discoverr, including check-in photos and profile information. By uploading content, you grant Discoverr a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and use that content within the app as needed to operate check-ins, your profile, collections, badges, activity feeds, and other features. How your content is shown depends on your privacy settings, including whether your profile is public or private and what you choose to share with friends.

Discoverr includes social features such as friend requests, public and private profiles, shared achievements, activity feeds, and visibility of check-ins, badges, and collections. You are responsible for the content you share and for your interactions with other users. Do not harass, bully, impersonate, or mislead other users. You can manage your privacy and visibility settings within the app. Reporting and blocking options are described in the User Generated Content and Moderation section. Discoverr is not responsible for the conduct of other users, but we may take action against accounts that violate these Terms.

Discoverr allows you to upload photos, create and edit your profile, share activity, and take part in social features such as friends, feeds, and shared progress. Content you submit may be visible to others according to your privacy settings.

You can report accounts or content that you believe violates our Terms of Service or community standards. You can block other users from your profile or from relevant content. Blocked users cannot interact with you through the restricted social features.

Discoverr may review reports and may restrict, remove, or take action against content or accounts that violate our Terms of Service, community rules, or applicable laws. We may also act on content that poses a safety or security risk.

You may not use Discoverr to: spoof or falsify your GPS location; create fake or fraudulent check-ins; use bots or automated tools to create accounts or interact with the app; scrape, harvest, or extract data from the service; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access Discoverr's source code or systems; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; upload illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content; cheat XP, badges, or collection progress; or otherwise abuse social features or disrupt the platform. We may investigate and act on violations at our discretion.

Discoverr may suspend or terminate your account if you abuse the platform, cheat location verification, harass other users, upload inappropriate content, violate these Terms, or engage in activity that harms Discoverr or its community.

You may stop using Discoverr at any time. You can delete your Discoverr account directly within the app through Settings > Delete Account. When you delete your account, we remove your profile data, check-ins, uploaded content, friends, and other social data associated with your account. Deletion is intended to be permanent. Some information may be retained where required by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business obligations. If you have difficulty deleting your account in the app, contact us at discoverr.contact@gmail.com and we will assist you.

Discoverr is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Discoverr is not liable for GPS inaccuracies, device or network issues, third-party map services, user-generated content, actions of other users, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable UK law.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of Discoverr at any time as the app evolves. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Continued use of Discoverr after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
